About Me

I live on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, Australia. The beaches are tantalizing white, the mountains eucalyptus fresh. Paradise found. If you haven't yet visited, don't hesitate, please come on down.

Reading was my first love as a child, and when a neighbor gave me a box of romance novels in the early eighties, I was hooked. During the early nineties, I started writing short stories, articles, and poetry. My entries in the High-Five 2007 competition gained a score of 96.6 percent, and another entry 92.5 percent.  My entry in the Emerald 2007 was marked 95 percent in the first round, and my entry in the Emerald 2008, in the first round was also marked 95 percent.

I am a proud member of Romance Writers of Australia. Also a member of an on-line critique group, a member of the on-line Romance Writers of Australia e-loop, plus a member of various writing groups.
Adventures: I love to go flying with my husband in a piper archer, or piper warrior. I feel safe beside him, a lot safer than I do flying in commercial aircraft's. I love flying about 500 feet over the ocean. When the ocean is clear you can see sharks, dolphins, whales and a lot more. It's breathtaking.

Music: My interest in Music is varied. The Pretenders, Rob Thomas, Rob Lowe, Neil Young, Santana, The Eagles, Macie Grae, No Mercy, Elvis Presley and so on and on and on. Oh, and I must not forget the Hawaiian Steel Guitar and The flute in Hawaiian Wedding Song. The theme song from Titanic.

Movies: Sweet Home Alabama, The Notebook, Fifty First Dates, The wedding, How to Loose a Guy in Ten Days, Titanic and more.

Flower: Hibiscus, Frangipani, Purple Iris, I love most flowers except those smelly mothers day flowers. Yuk!

Food:        All seafood. Yummy!

Drink: Scotch (Johnny Walker) and Dry,  A nice wine, red or white.

Childhood Books: The Enchanted Forest, Enid Blyton, I loved moon face. I wanted to get up in that tree and meet him. I wanted to go to all the lands and experience their adventures. Imagine, fairy floss land, so cool! Noddy was another favourite, and all the fairy tale stories. Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, etc. Eh, maybe this is where my love of romance really began.

What I have Read: Shakespeare. I have loved Shakespeare all my life and often quote him. I also quote Benjamin Franklin. The Calhourn Women by Nora Roberts. I have a collection of her books on my bookshelf. Crimson, by Shirley Conran, Long Lost Father by Melissa James. These are only a few as I have read most of the authors' books on the links on my webpage.

More Adventures: Well I have quite a few too many to list here. lol.  Diving around the Whitsunday Islands.  I have dived around all the islands off The Great Barrier Reef, except Lizard Island.
Riding on the back of giant sea turtles is an experience I will never forget, or swimming with dolphins.
We left the shark cat (similar to a catamaran) on the mainland, and headed off in a rubber dinghy toward Hayman Island. On the way, we had to sneak through at least 50 hammerhead sharks basking in shallow water. They didn't stir as we made our way through them. Close up, they are a strange, ugly creature.
Near Hook Island a sea snake, and a moray eel let us know we were in their territory, not ours.
We were diving on a reef off Townsville when we spotted three reef sharks circling us. Thankfully, they prefer to swim around the outer area of the reef.
We had some narrow escapes when we had to ditch a net of fish we caught. We decided the great white circling above us was hungrier than we were. Hopefully next year when I go to Hawaii I will be able to do some more diving. Yah!

Fiji: Going up into the mountains in a motorized canoe to visit the tribes and the chief. The river, at times, took on dangerous aspects. Through rapids barely missing giant rocks, over shallow water with huge pebbles scraping the canoe, going against the strong current was such a task for the Fijian guy. But, with his skill and maneuvering abilities he got us safely into the mountains after been drenched for the umpteenth time.
